King Jan's Bagels were created in 2015 in the heart of the Old Town in Szczecin, in the shadow of the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle and the Old Town Hall. They were created out of love for "rolls with a hole", for good cuisine, passion and the desire to make people happy. Our bagels are 100% natural. We make them according to our own secret recipe. We use only the best ingredients, we do not use preservatives or leavening agents. We shape each bagel by hand, subject it to a slow rise process, giving it time to acquire a bagel character. In accordance with a method that is several hundred years old, we bathe our bagels in boiling water before baking in a bread oven. The unique recipe and the preservation of traditional production methods guarantee that the bagels taste exactly as they should. Their flesh is elastic and dense, and the crust is crispy. Despite the ever-increasing popularity of bagels in Poland, we remain one of the few places in the country that make bagels themselves, naturally and from scratch, using traditional methods and recipes.
